At Grand Sichuan Chinese restaurants, they serve mainly the authentic (real, original or genuine) Sichuan food.
Sichuan food originated from Sichuan province in China and has a long history of more than two thousand years. Sichuan is an inland province in the southwest of China and far away from the sea. Geographically, it is a huge basin surrounded by high mountains. The subtropical climate is hot and humid. For thousands of years, agriculture was a major part of life. Under these circumstances, Sichuan food was formed.
At Grand Sichuan, they take pride in cooking with this history and culture always in mind. Cooking in a classic stir-fry manner and staying true to their Sichuan roots, Grand Sichuan allows you to take a trip through Chinese history by closing your eyes and experiencing all of the flavors they have to offer.

Food tastes good, a bit too greasy, but delivery driver is RUDE. I tipped him 10% and he flat out said "Thats too little!" I would have tipped more if he didn't call me saying that he was here when he was 5 minutes away, and I had to stand outside waiting. And he took SO LONG when I live 5 mins away

DO NOT COUNT ON YOUR ORDER ARRIVING ANYWHERE NEAR ON TIME. Delivery service is unacceptable. They took over an hour and 15 minutes to deliver my food. When I called, they gave me attitude. They should have called me to let me know as soon as they accepted my order. I'm never ordering from them again--I can get cheap chinese food at a dozen other places.

Took almost 2 hours for delivery...

Overall pretty good food even though some dishes can be way too salty or greasy. Like some reviewers said, I think there is some inconsistency here; there are good days and bad days, and there are good dishes and bad dishes.

Nice, Hot and Spicy. The rice is good. I like this restaurant. Pretty suitable for Chinese or other asian people.

Fairly authentic Chinese food. A little bit pricey, but quite tasty.

Consistently excellent food

The food does not match up to the Sichuan restaurants in NY. But since this is the only one around where I live, its a goto when I am craving Sichuan food.

This restaurant is pretty quick with delivery and the food is authentic; however, they don't have as much variety as Confucious. Ordered from them many times and tried several different dishes and the best is the baby bok choy and the double cooked pork!

Good value

worst chinese food i ever ate. the beef fried rice was bland. the house special lo mein was tasteless. the pork soup dumplings had no soup and were too salty. the braised beef with chili sauce was spicy, yet bland. the beef with broccoli was mediocre at best. i will not order from here again.

Becareful when ordering during their busy time, their dishes can turn out either too salty or bad when they're busy. I've had several dishes that's really bad, when they take a while to answer the phone is an indication.

Not very happy with my selection. I'm not sure if other things on their menu are any better, but my entree was very greasy and not that appetizing. The shrimp appetizer was just OK. Overall, a mediocre experience; at least it wasn't that expensive!

Outstanding. Simply the best Chinese food in Jersey City and Hoboken area. Order off the classic Sichuan menu for a nice spicy tart. double cooked pork is outstanding. I have never had something I didn't like from there. On average the price is a little more but I think it's worth it for the quality you get. Also delivery driver has a habit of not wanting to come to your door and have you meet him on the sidewalk. I put up with it for the food otherwise that would be a deal breaker.

Best Chinese food around Jersey City area. You have to know what you're ordering though, sometimes they're really spicy. And too spicy can't be good for your stomach. Delivery is a bit on the slower side, especially during peak hours. Try to avoid it. However, food quality is great and I would definitely order again.

Some of the best--and certainly most consistent--Chinese food in Jersey City. Try the Pork Soup Dumplings, they're awesome!

Awesome! Best Chinese food in Jersey City. The Dan Dan noodle appetizer is so great, I order it as my entree. The orange beef rocks too. This is the only Chinese food restaurant in town that I have liked (or loved!) everything I've ordered! Highly recommended.

If the hot and spicy means freezing cold food then the rabbit is pretty good. Lo mein was delicious. Didn't come with rice.

Food is good. Gave 2 stars really for HORRIBLE customer service. Would have been out double the amount of money since my browser crushed while ordering and order is entered as a double. Restaurant people was EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNHELPFUL. Thank goodness seamless customer service helped. But what a bad experience. Would stay away from this place now.

I was so happy to find out there was a Grand Sichuan within delivery range of my apt when I moved to Jersey City, having been a customer of their Chelsea and East Village locations for years. Generally, the food here is up to the high standard of freshness of their nyc locations. Delivery time is generally less than 30 minutes regardless of the given estimate. I wish they would include more chili oil with the sichuan wontons. Asking for extra sauce in the comments does not help that matter. The braised beef or fish in chili oil, the chong qing chicken (with bones), and the gui zhou spicy chicken are all delicious. I don't have as much experience with their "american chinese food" offerings, so I'm not sure how they do with those dishes.

Pork and Crab Dumplings are DELICIOUS! Unfortunately, the orange chicken had virtually no flavor at all. Very disappointing after the great dumpling appetizer.

THE SEAMLESS WEB CONFIRMATION SAID 30-45 MINUTES. AFTER WAITING 40 MINUTES I CALLED THE RESTAURANT AND THEY SAID THE DELIVERY TIME IS USUALLY 55 MINUTES. BY THE TIME THE FOOD IS GETTING HERE I WON'T HAVE TIME TO EAT AND WILL JUST BE HEADING HOME.

I love their food. There are many authentic dishes. Try barbequed pork ribs, cold noodles, and shredded potato with vinegar sauce for something unusual and savory. Very fresh and delicious!
